Comparison guide · Airports
Orly has its own transport ecosystem. Here is how to choose according to your flight time, luggage and travel companions.
The essentials in 30 seconds
Metro line 14, now extended to Orly, is the simplest and cheapest option for light travellers. Orlyval + RER B, RER C, Orlybus and tram T7 suit specific starting points. Taxis charge a regulated flat rate by riverbank. A pre-booked private driver adds flight tracking, included waiting time, meet-and-greet and vans for families.
Starting point
Orly lies about fifteen kilometres south of central Paris and has four terminals, Orly 1 to 4. Driving takes around half an hour off-peak, often twice that at rush hour.
Unlike CDG, Orly is served by a wide mix of public transport: metro, dedicated train, direct bus, tram and RER.

Option 01
Line 14 now runs directly from central Paris to Orly in under half an hour from Châtelet. It is ideal for light travellers.
Beware of peak-hour crowds, stairs in older stations, night closures and occasional works.
Option 02
Orlyval is a small automatic shuttle between Antony RER B station and Orly's terminals.
Useful if you start along the RER B line, but it involves a change and depends on RER B reliability.
Travellers on the RER B line with little luggage.
A change at Antony and exposure to RER B disruptions.
Option 03
RER C to Pont de Rungis, then a bus to the terminals. Often slower than expected, with frequent works on the line.
Option 04
A direct bus from Denfert-Rochereau to Orly, simple and luggage-friendly, but exposed to road traffic at peak times.
Option 05
From Villejuif (metro 7) to Orly. Slow from the centre, but handy for southern suburbs and step-free access.

Option 06
Paris taxis charge a regulated flat rate to Orly depending on the riverbank. Predictable, door-to-door, but availability is never guaranteed and there is no flight tracking or meet-and-greet.
Option 07
Flight tracking, included waiting time, a name sign in the arrivals hall, vans for families and a fare quoted at booking, 24/7.
